Looking for Involvement in Your Community?
There are many opportunities. The town has a Planning Board, a Zoning Board of Appeals and a Board of Assessment Review established by law and composed of town residents. The Town has also established a Sustainability Committee, an Economic Development Committee, a Comprehensive Plan Committee, and a Kashong Conservation Area Committee composed of town residents and business owners that are almost always looking for more engaged citizens to lend a hand.
The Town has 2 new committees: Communications- working on enhancing communications between town government and residents- and Town Hall Park & Playground- working on planning and establishing a park on town hall property.
The Town is also establishing Joint Work Groups with the City of Geneva on these areas: Water, Sewer and Drainage; Transportation, Public Safety and Purchasing; and Economic Development, Housing and Recreation.
The Town has three volunteer fire companies always looking for help. Go to About the Town for the page on the fire companies. Become a volunteer fire fighter or emergency responder!
A form for submitting your interest in joining one or more of these groups is available at the town hall and on this site. Meetings are open to the public so you can attend one anytime.
