Geneva Lake-Friendly Living Educational Series
What’s in your Trash?
Wednesday May 27, 2020; 7-8pm, online via Zoom. All are welcome.

The Town of Geneva Sustainability Committee, in partnership with the City of Geneva Green Committee, continues its Lake-Friendly Living educational series with a webinar on “What’s in your Trash” on Wednesday May 27th, from 7-8pm, via Zoom.

Did you ever wonder how to dispose of old batteries? Or old cat litter? Americans on average produce 4.4 pounds of trash per day that goes into landfills. In order to reduce this amount, we need to understand what is actually in our trash. Please join Jacob Fox, the Town of Geneva’s Climate Smart Coordinator, for a discussion of “What’s in your Trash”. We will go through commonly asked waste diversion questions, as well as a live demonstration on how to do your own waste audit. Audience members have the opportunity to ask questions in advance through our Town of Geneva website questionnaire and during the presentation. This webinar is open to all Geneva residents and anyone else interested in waste diversion.
